Family Problem

Family can be viewed as a system. Family members seek the attention, approval, and support from others while reacting to the needs, expectations, and distresses of others. People in the family system are highly connected and interdependent in their thoughts, feelings, and actions.  As a result, when a family member becomes anxious, the emotion can spread to each other and intensify.  Hence, the symptoms of an individual member is possibly a reflection of the unresolved intensified emotions in the family system.

Family counseling or therapy can help to identify the family dynamics, causes changes in the family system and enhance the functioning of the family and individual members.
